Three Vocational Centers Started in October

We have started 3 new vocational programs in three different villages, each with 22 students. AWAKEN normally runs one vocational program a year but due to increasing demand, we were able to open three with the help of our amazing donors. Women learn tailoring and computer skills at the Saheli Women Center

As one component of our Rotary International Grant, AWAKEN established the Saheli Women Center to provide tailoring and computer classes Afghan women. 30 women completed the first session which began March 1, 2017 and continued through July 30, 2017. Birthing Center: 200-300 new cases per month

The Maternal and Child Health Unit (birthing center) is doing really well!
